Shell will block Shell Recharge Solutions charge cards with home charging reimbursement from 28 January.
Shell has decided to block various Shell Recharge Solutions charge cards with home charging reimbursement as of 28 January. We advise users of a Shell Recharge Solutions charge card to request a new charge card in good time, to ensure that charging remains possible without interruption.
Charge cards with home charging reimbursement
Body: If you wish to continue charging with home charging reimbursement, the request for a new charge card must be arranged by your employer or leasing company. More information can be found at: https://www.shell.nl/maakdeswitch.
Charging without home charging reimbursement
For users without home charging reimbursement, there are two options for requesting a new charge card:
Request a new Shell charge card via the Shell app (please note: not via the Shell Recharge Solutions app).
Request a 50five charge card via the 50five website. This card is suitable for both home charging and public charging.
A Shell charge card must be activated in the Shell app before first use (not in the Shell Recharge Solutions app and not in the 50five E-Mobility app). A 50five charge card does not need to be activated. After receipt, both cards can be linked to your home charge point via the 50five E-Mobility app.
Do you use Plug & Charge? In that case, this function must first be deactivated with the previous charge card. After linking the new charge card, Plug & Charge can be reactivated in the 50five E-Mobility app from 24 January.
Self-employed professionals and small businesses
Self-employed professionals and small business users can choose a business 50five charge card (our charge tag). The kWh consumption will be recorded and invoiced periodically. To do this, a company account must be created if you do not already have one.
To ensure the correct processing of the payments for your subscription(s), the payer of the subscription must complete the following steps:
Create a company account via: https://50five-sde.evc-net.com/
Please note: use a different email address from the one used for your personal user account, otherwise the account cannot be verified.
Follow the instructions on the page to complete the account registration.
Once the account has been created, please contact our customer service team, stating the company name or the email address with which the account was registered.
After receipt, we will activate the account.
Please note: after creating your account, you will receive a code. This code can only be used after we have activated your account. It is therefore correct that you may receive an error message before this time.
